Miami Art Fairs

The beginning of December brings with it the usual cold weather, but also the chance to escape it with the annual art fairs taking place in Miami.  This year, I'll have work at the Red Dot Art Fair with the George Billis Gallery booth.  Please stop by and take a look at some classic pieces, along with this brand new painting T-Bird Convertible done exclusively for the fair.  Opening reception is Dec 3rd, 6-10pm, with the fair running through Dec 8th.

Limited Edition "Pool and Palms" Print

I'm pleased to announce a limited edition print run of my painting Pool and Palms.  This piece is now available on my online print shop and comes signed and numbered in an edition of only 100.  Once they're gone, they're gone.  Printed using archival inks on high quality photo-rag paper, this will surely add some mid-century flare to any place needing a little "refreshening."

The Cityscape Show

Playing House

I've always wanted to add a sculptural element to my work.  Seeing as how my paintings focus on mid-century architecture, it only seemed fitting that my first 3-D piece I create be an architectural model.  I started with some ideas I had for a classic Modern house and sketched out some rough drafts.  I then finalized a ground plan and did some rough elevations before diving into the world of balsa wood.  This piece will make its debut at the Laguna Art Museum on May 10th, 2013.

Hello Again

Last February, I had the pleasure of attending an amazing evening of food, drinks, and great conversation with some of the leading artists, designers, and architects in the world.  This evening was put on by Dwell magazine and generously sponsored by Lincoln Motor Co as part of their "Hello Again" campaign.  As part of the evenings activities, interviews were conducted with all the creatives, including Trina Turk, Ghislaine Vinas, and myself.  View the full video here: Modernism Rediscovered.
